The Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons scored five unanswered goals in the third period to earn a come-from-behind 9-6 win in pre-season action on Sunday night at Cody Banks Arena.

 

Scoring for the Falcons were Tanner MacLean (3), Harrison Nicholson (2-1), Brandon Birt (2-1), Tyson Blue (1-2), and Jarrett MacDiermid (1-1).  Assists also went to Tanner Lund (3), Lucas Holmes, Connor Dillon, Matt McQuaid, and Harrison Wood.

 

Jonny Richards (3-1), Parker Diamond (2-1), and Pat Cummiskey (1-1) scored for the Hurricanes, with helpers from Curtis Hall (2) and Will Connolly.

 

Sam Walsh and Kody MacDonald were the Falcons' goalies, while Jarrett Ross and Ben Ladner shared time between the pipes for the Hurricanes.

 

The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period and the Hurricanes had a 5-4 lead headed into the final frame.

 

The Hurricanes outshot the Falcons 36-32.
