The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers will start defence of their IJHL championship at home when they host the Montague Total Assets Fitness Maniacs this Sunday at Community Gardens in Kensington. The IJHL game gets underway at 2pm.

The Vipers have turned over close to half of their team but coach Wade Waddell feels he has a team that can compete for the title again this season. Some of the key players making debuts for the Vipers will be Nick Bouchey who was captain of the Charlottetown Islanders Major Midget AAA team last season as well as local players Campbell Gallant, James Murphy, Drew Grady, and Brian Kelly.

Spencer Francis, Brady VanderVeldon, and Easton Smith who all played with Mid-Isle Matrix Minor Midget AAA team last year will all make their home debuts as well.

Prior to Sundays game, Kensington Minor Hockey will be on hand for a special announcement. In conjunction with the announcement the Vipers will be allowing all children under the age of 12 free entry when accompanied by an adult. Season tickets will be available and sponsor tickets will be at the ticket booth as well for pick up.
