Rivalry Renewed Sunday

The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers will host arch rival Arsenault's Fish Mart Western Red Wings this Sunday night at Community Gardens in Kensington. The IJHL game gets underway at 7pm.

The Vipers come in off a 5-4 win over Sherwood in a game they led 5-0 at one point. The Vipers and Red Wings finalized a trade on Wednesday where the Vipers sent a draft pick to Western for 20 year old defenseman Tyler Leblanc. Vipers coach Wade Waddell is pleased with the acquisition that will add much needed depth to the blue line. Rugged defenseman Spencer Francis has been lost until at least Christmas with an upper body injury and Ben Keefe is still playing soccer at UPEI so the move comes at a great time.

The Vipers and Don Johnson Cup host Red Wings have five of the top six scorers in the league.
