Logan Vandervelden scored the winning goal and added three helpers as the Kensington Moase Plumbing & Heating Vipers downed the A&S Scrap Metal Metros 5-3 in pre-season action Sunday at the Credit Union Centre.
 
Riley Gallant, CJ McCardle (1-3), Ryan McKenna, and Garrett Murray also scored for the Vipers with Parker Ronahan, Kyle Pinkson, and Tyler Gallant adding assists.
 
Alex Hambly (2) and Marc Cummiskey scored for the Metros with helpers added from Connor Gray (2) and Grant Macadam.
 
Caleb Coyle took the win for Kensington and while Matt Halliwell took the loss for Sherwood.
 
The shots were 35-35.
