The Montague Maniacs were granted a one-year leave of absence on Monday night by the Island Junior Hockey League.

The league will suspend action until a dispersal draft can be held on Wednesday evening.  The new 4-team schedule will be drafted and approved at that time as well.  League play will resume with the Vipers in Evangeline Saturday night with the puck dropping at 7 o'clock.  The rest of the games scheduled for this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday) have been cancelled.
